The Chateau Vieux Gabarey is located in the heart of the Medoc, surrounded by the vineyards of Margaux to the south, Saint-Julien to the north and Moulis to the west. Its rocky soil produces wines of great finesse and an excellent bouquet.

The history of this property is that of Serge Saint Martin himself. He produced his first bottles in 1982. At the time, he had only ½ of an acre of vineyards which he purchased after returning home from his military service. Today, through sheer personal strength, passion and artisanal values, he has grown to 43 acres. His wines are an expression of the "soil" of Lamarque, the village where he was born.

In 2007, Serge Saint Martin was joined by his son Maxime. Together they strive to combine tradition and modernity.
